CAPITOLA

Capitola is located on the Monterey Bay in California. Capitola is about 70 miles south of San Francisco and 35 miles north of Monterey. It is a small coastal town that was pioneered in the late 1800's first as a lumber port and later as a vacation resort.  Capitola´s most popular attraction is the Capitola City Beach located in the heart of Capitola Village.

Soquel Creek, is the site of the annual Begonia Festival where flower laden floats grace the river for a weekend in September.

The Esplanade is a wonderful stroll in the village of Capitola, along a row of restaurants, historic homes and small shops. You will find numerous craft galleries, boutiques, and casual little restaurants ideal for family dining. For this small village, dining choices are pretty varied from great hamburgers, to Mexican food, Indian cuisine, and seafood. In September the Esplanade hosts the Capitola Art & Wine Festival.
