Star
LOCATION:
Star is one of the fastest growing cities in the Treasure Valley. It borders the Boise River to the south and heads up into the foothills to the north. Star is located just to the west of Eagle.
NEIGHBORHOODS:
Star has a mix of residential subdivisions and acreage properties. Correspondingly, there is a plethora of new construction throughout the city. RV garages have been a feature of many of the new construction homes.
GREATSCHOOLS.ORG:
According to GreatSchools.org, Star is home to Star Elementary School, Star Middle School and splits its boundaries for High school between Eagle High School and Owyhee High School.
AMENITIES:
Star still has a small downtown feel which offers numerous restaurants and bars. Several new grocery and retail stores have moved into the area with all the growth. The Star Mercantile and Lumber store still holds sway along the downtown arena.
PARKS & RECREATION:
Star is home to the River Birch Golf Course. It is a public 18 Hole golf course with shop, driving range and snack bar. River Birch is located just off Highway 16 close to the Eagle border. Hunter’s Creek Sports Park, Tom Erlebach Skatepark, Waggin’ Tails Dog Park, Blake Haven Park and Star Riverwalk Park can all be found off Star Road between Floating Feather Road and the Boise River. The Star Riverhouse is also a public venue along the Boise River that can be rented for events.
